Regarding the results of the first part of August Germany has increased gas import from Russia on 11,7% comparing with the same period last year. Distribution has increased on 22,1% comparing with July. “August traditionally is the season of conducting repair operations at gas pipe-lines and decreasing of gas demand. But our partners in Europe keep on growing purchasing Russian gas. For instance, Germany in the first part of August was demonstrating import growth of gas from Russian on 11,7% comparing with last year and on 22,1% comparing with July. Distribution during two weeks made almost 2 billion SCM”, - said the head of “Gazprom” Aleksey Miller. Totally from the beginning of the year volumes of gas supply to Europe have grown on 10,4% and increased on 9,9 billion SCM. Most significantly has grown demand to Russian gas in Denmark (+137,3%), Netherland (+95,6%), Greece (+66,2%) and Great Britain (+62,1%). Supplies to Poland have grown on 21,5%, to Austria - on16,8%. The main growth was established in the countries that will become main consumers of gas delivered by gas pipe-line “Nord Stream -2”. According to official forecast of the company, “Gazprom” will increase gas export to Europe on 6,6%, growing it to 170 billion SCM. More articles |
