Moldovan election officials finish recounting votes

CHISINAU, April 16 (RIA Novosti) - Moldova's Central Election Commission (CEC) has ended a recount of ballots from the April 5 parliamentary election contested by the opposition, the CEC deputy head said on Thursday.

"The recount of votes has ended without any incidents. The Central Election Commission has started receiving the first data from polling stations. The final result will be published in the coming days," Renata Lapti said.
