#Oil spill in Russia's Urals covers 1,200 sq km#

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, April 16 (RIA Novosti) - An oil pipeline rupture in the Perm Territory in Russia's Urals has caused an oil spill of 1,200 square km, a local emergencies spokesman said on Thursday.

He said it was the second oil spill this week and the fourth since the start of the year. A clear up operation is currently underway.

The cause of the spill has yet to be established.
