Kyrgyz Interior Ministry official in hospital after acid attack

BISHKEK, April 23 (RIA Novosti) - An unidentified attacker on Thursday poured two liters of concentrated sulfuric acid over the head of a senior Kyrgyz Interior Ministry official, a ministry spokesman said.

Police Col. Kyrkkeldi Kydyrbayev "was admitted to intensive care in a serious condition. A criminal case has been launched," the spokesman told RIA Novosti.
