MOSCOW, April 24 (RIA Novosti) - Five people were
killed and one person seriously injured in a six-car pile up in
south Moscow early on Friday, a local emergencies spokesman
said.
The tragedy occurred when one of the vehicles moved into
the oncoming lane to overtake and collided head on with another
vehicle. Five people in a BMW and Renault, which took the full
impact of the collision, died while a man traveling in an Opel
was injured, the spokesman said.
He added that no children were among the casualties.
An accident investigation is underway.
