New Moldovan parliament's first session to take place on May 5

CHISINAU, April 24 (RIA Novosti) - Moldova's newly elected parliament will hold its first session on May 5, the presidential press office said on Friday.

President Vladimir Voronin's Communist Party won almost 50% of votes in the April 5 election and will have 60 seats in the 101-seat legislature, the results confirmed in a vote recount conducted after post-election street riots in the capital, Chisinau.
