Russia's stock market rallies in early trading

MOSCOW, May 7 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's two main stock exchanges, MICEX and the RTS, opened on Thursday with their key indexes showing upward movement.

As of 10: 40 a.m. Moscow time (06:40 GMT), the index of the dollar-denominated RTS climbed 0.84% from Wednesday's close past the psychologically important level of 900 points to reach 904.61 points while the index of the ruble-denominated MICEX grew 2.38% beyond the benchmark level of 1,000 points to 1,009 points.
