MOSCOW, May 14 (RIA Novosti) - The World Health Organization said on Thursday 33 countries have confirmed a total of 6,497 cases of swine flu, including 65 deaths. The figure is up by 769 cases, including four lethal ones, since the organization's flu update yesterday. Mexico reported 2,446 laboratory confirmed human cases with 60 deaths. The United States has 3,352 cases, including three fatalities. Canada reported 389 cases and one fatality. And Costa Rica still has just eight people registered with the disease, one of whom died. Although Spain has reported 100 cases, Britain 71, Panama 29, France 14, Germany 12, Italy nine, and Brazil eight, none have been fatal. New Zealand, Colombia and Israel confirmed seven cases each of the H1N1 influenza virus. El Salvador, China and Japan have four cases each. The Netherlands, South Korea and Guatemala have three; Norway, Finland, Sweden and Thailand have two cases. Argentina, Australia, Austria, Cuba, Denmark, Ireland, Poland, Portugal and Switzerland reported one case each. More news
