Ukrainian gas system upgrade could cost $13-16 bln - Russian minister

MOSCOW, May 18 (RIA Novosti) - The modernization of Ukraine's gas transportation system could cost 10-12 billion euros ($13.5-16 billion), the Russian energy minister said Monday.

"I have heard the Ukrainian premier voice an assessment of 5-6 billion euros. According to our estimates, this sum should be two times higher," Sergei Shmatko told journalists.
