over UN report

MOSCOW, May 19 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Foreign
Ministry has rejected Georgia's accusations that Russia
pressured the United Nations during the drafting of a report on
the Caucasus.
Earlier Tuesday, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze
told journalists that the UN secretary general's report on the
Caucasus situation had been compiled under pressure from Russia.
"This is empty rhetoric - we could just as well say that
the report was drafted under Georgian pressure," said Igor
Lyakin-Frolov, a deputy director of the ministry's information
and press department.
