DUSHANBE, May 23 (RIA Novosti) - Croatian President
Stepan Mesic will pay an official two-day visit to Tajikistan
on Saturday, a spokesman for the Tajik Foreign Ministry said.
"During the visit Stepan Mesic is scheduled to meet with
[Tajik] President Emomali Rakhmon on Sunday," Davlat Nazriyev
said adding that the presidents will also take part in the
talks at an extended level and sign a number of bilateral
agreements.
The diplomat added that the Croatian president is also
scheduled to meet with the country's prime minister and the
speaker of the parliament's lower house and will pay a visit to
State Unitary enterprise Tajik Aluminium Company (TALCO).
According to the State Statistics Committee, trade between
Croatia and Tajikistan amounted to $779,000 in the first
quarter of this year, while the figure for the 2008 totaled
$6.4 million.
