Russian, Chinese top diplomats discuss N.Korea nuclear test

MOSCOW, June 2 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian and Chinese foreign ministers agreed in a phone conversation that the UN Security Council must deliver a 'convincing response' to the recent North Korean nuclear test, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

"[Sergei] Lavrov and Yang Jiechi voiced a shared opinion on the need for a convincing response from the UN Security Council, and on the inadmissibility of ignoring the UN Security Council and the demands of world powers on the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction," the ministry said in a statement.
