Qatar in active talks with Gazprom on energy contracts

ST. PETERSBURG, June 4 (RIA Novosti) - Qatar is planning to sign energy and investment cooperation contracts with Russian energy giant Gazprom, the Qatari finance and economy minister said on Thursday.

"We are holding active talks with Gazprom. We are working on the signing of contracts in the oil and gas sphere and power engineering," Yusif Husayn al-Kamal said at a roundtable during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
