MOSCOW, June 5 (RIA Novosti) - German Foreign
Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will arrive in Russia on June
9 for a two-day official visit, the Russian Foreign Ministry
said on Friday.
Steinmeier will meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei
Lavrov to discuss their governments' positions on European and
international issues, as well as the agenda for a July meeting
between Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and German Chancellor
Angela Merkel.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said
the diplomats would also discuss measures to improve the
productivity of social-economic and humanitarian cooperation,
as well as in science and technology.
