Russian ban on Belarus dairy products not sanctions - Lavrov

MOSCOW, June 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's ban on dairy products from Belarus are not sanctions, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday after talks with his Belarusian counterpart, Sergei Martynov.

"Russia has not imposed any sanctions on Belarus," Lavrov said, adding that the move was due to new technical regulations for milk products, introduced in Russia last December.
