Below is a summary of crimes registered in Russia and the CIS on Tuesday, June 9

* The bodies of a military official and his wife were found with multiple stab wounds in their apartment in the Tver Region near Moscow, a police source said. The woman's brother and father, who were also stabbed, were taken to hospital

* The body of a newborn boy was found in a garbage container in the town of Orsk in the Urals, a spokesman for the local investigation department said

* A 16-year-old teenager was detained on charges of raping a three-year-old girl in the Perm Territory in the Urals, a spokesman for the local investigation department said

* A 25-year-old resident of the Orenburg Region in the Urals was detained on charges of raping a 71-year-old woman while drunk, a spokesman for the local investigation department said

* Four people are suspected of kidnapping a 13-year-old girl and demanding a ransom of 700,000 rubles ($22,500), a police spokesman said

* Over 0.7 kg (1.4 lbs) of heroin were seized from two Tajik nationals in the Sverdlovsk Region in the Urals, the Russian Interior Ministry said

* Two students in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Volga Republic of Tatarstan, were charged with organizing a drug lab to produce amphetamines, a spokeswoman for the local drug control service said

* A Kamaz truck worth over 1 million rubles ($32,000) was stolen in southern Moscow, a police source said

* Moscow police are searching for three men, who used a crane truck to steal over 30 metric tons of construction steel, worth about 750,000 rubles ($24,000), a police source said

* Two men were detained in possession of two submachine guns, an assault rifle, 19 grenades and 108 cartridges in the village of Timoshovo in Russia's Kaluga Region, a police source said
