LONDON, February 3 (RIA Novosti) - The
Russian-British joint venture TNK-BP is continuing its search
for a new company head, BP chief executive Tony Hayward said on
Tuesday.
TNK-BP, the third-largest oil producer in Russia, is split
50-50 between BP and the AAR consortium of Russian billionaire
shareholders. The two groups clashed in 2008 over strategy,
management and control of the company.
The previous TNK-BP CEO, Robert Dudley, left Russia in
July 2008 over what BP alleged was a campaign of harassment by
the Russian shareholders. He then stepped down on December 1,
2008. Tim Summers, TNK-BP's chief operating officer, has been
acting CEO ever since.
