YEKATERINBURG, June 16 (RIA Novosti) - Members of the
Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) consider "unacceptable"
the recent statements made by the North Korean leadership,
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday.
"Among other issues, we discussed the North Korean issue,
including the recent threats, and we noted that such behavior
is unacceptable in the current situation," the Russian
president told a news conference after an SCO summit in
Yekaterinburg.
North Korea said on Saturday it would respond with war to
attempts by the United States and its allies to isolate the
country, and that it would start enriching uranium and using
plutonium for military purposes.
