MOSCOW, June 17 (RIA Novosti) - President Dmitry
Medvedev said on Wednesday non-governmental organizations would
be allowed to give grants to unemployed people, above all
Russian university graduates and young scientists.
"I have decided to allow non-governmental organizations to
distribute state grants they receive among certain groups of
individuals," Medvedev said, adding the targeted recipients
should be above all either graduates or young inventors.
Medvedev also said he would submit a bill simplifying
registration requirements for NGOs and reducing audit
requirements for them to the State Duma, the lower house of
parliament, later on Wednesday.
