MOSCOW, February 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Central
Bank will start operations on the MICEX stock exchange on
Monday, a Central Bank official said on Thursday.
"We intend to start work on the stock exchange on Monday,"
Sergei Shvetsov, director of the Central Bank department for
financial market operations, said.
Shvetsov said the Central Bank would initially engage in
repurchase operations with securities from the Lombard list.
"Operations with shares will start nearer to the end of the
month," he said.
