URGENT: Russia 'satisfied' over release of Ukrainian ship in Gulf of Aden

MOSCOW, February 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Foreign Ministry expressed its satisfaction over the release of the Faina with Russian crewmembers on board that was captured by Somali pirates in September last year.

"If this has really happened, then we express our satisfaction that the Russians on board the vessel will be home soon," Foreign Ministry spokesman Igor Lyakin-Frolov said.

Lyakin-Frolov said that the Russian Ministry had provided the "necessary cooperation available to it to free the Russian nationals."
