Federal Tax Service’s Income Down By One-Third

On its website, the Federal Tax Service (FTS) has reported tax contributions to the federal budget for the January – October 2009 period. In total, approximately 24.721 trillion rubles were collected for the stated period which is 32% less than in the same period of 2008.

The main part of the tax revenues come from VAT (41%),  Resource Extraction Tax (31%), the Unified Social Tax (17%), and income tax (6%.)
