Russia Ratified Agreement On Changing Customs Duties Schedule

According to the Kremlin press relations service, last week President Dmitry Medvedev signed the Federal Law “On Ratifying The Agreement Regarding Grounds, Conditions And Procedures For Changing The Schedule Of Customs Duties Payments.”

This agreement is needed to develop a legal basis for the implementing the Customs Union of the Eurasian Economic Community, which currently includes Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

The agreement seeks to pursue a systematic policy in the area of calculation and payment of customs duties within the customs union.
