Tajikistan: Migration Registration Deadline Updated

Russia and Tajikistan signed agreement “On Procedures for Residence of Tajikistan’s Citizens in the Russian Federation.”

According to the agreement, citizens of Tajikistan may stay for 15 days in Russia without registering with the migration authorities.

When residing in Russia for more than 15 days, a foreign citizen must be registered with migration authorities at the location of residence in accordance with Russian legislation.

In the near future legislators will review a draft bill allowing the citizens of Tajikistan to receive work permits for a 3-year term.
