Blast partially destroys apartment in northwest Moscow

MOSCOW, February 7 (RIA Novosti) - An explosion ripped through an apartment in northwestern Moscow on Saturday, a law enforcement source said, adding that it was unclear if there were any casualties.

"The blast occurred on the seventh floor of an apartment block on Nizhniye Mnevniki Street. The apartment is partially collapsed," the source said.

The source said the blast could have been caused by an explosive device.

Emergency services are on the scene.
