Business confidence index (BCI) in the industrial sector of Russia in October 2016 reached the point of -4%, informs the market research Center of the Institute for statistical studies and Economics of knowledge NRU HSE.
Index change happed for the first time in 6 months. All previous 6 months the index remained the point of -5%, that experts called the proof of the thesis of the presence of equilibrium level found by economic agents.
“Recent tendencies for improvement of moods of top-managers of large and medium industrial enterprises indicate, that economic agents are gradually adjusting to “new normality”, - is stated in new report.
Evaluations by BCI are based on results of polls with top-managers of more then 3,000 large and medium industrial enterprises, that are monthly carried out by Federal Service of State Statistics.
In the published report of Oct,31 by MEDT of Russia it is pointed on worsening of the situation in the industrial sector and renewal general recession in economic activity. Calculated by the institution seasonally, rectified index of industrial production after recorded growth in august (+0,3 by July) again came to a minus (- 0,2%).
