SAMARA, February 12 (RIA Novosti) - Rescue workers
have recovered another body from the scene of a gas explosion
in southeast European Russia's Samara Region, bringing the
death toll to four, a local emergencies spokesman said on
Thursday.
The blast occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the village
of Pribrezhny in an area containing a number of garages. Four
other people were injured in the incident, which left 300
square meters of the garage complex completely destroyed.
The explosion is believed to have been caused by safety
violations connected to the use of propane. One of the damaged
garages housed a car workshop, a police source said.
The rescue operation at the site of the explosion has now
been completed.
