ST PETERSBURG, February 12 (RIA Novosti) - A court
near St. Petersburg rejected on Thursday a Ford management
compensation claim against workers who went on strike in late
2007, a trade union head said.
Some 1,000 employees halted production at a Ford plant
just outside the city on November 20, 2007, demanding a 30% pay
rise.
The strike ended when management agreed with the union to
increase wages by up to 21%. The halt however caused the plant
4.5 mln rubles ($125,600) in damages.
"The suit has been rejected," Alexei Etmanov said.
