URGENT: Russia may temporarily abolish export duty for East Siberian oil

KIRISHI (Leningrad Region), February 12 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian government may temporarily abolish the export duty on oil from East Siberian deposits this year, the energy minister said Thursday.

"The basic decision has been made," Sergei Shmatko told journalists after a conference on the development of Russia's oil industry chaired by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
