CAIRO, February 17 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Foreign
Minister Sergei Lavrov announced at a press conference in Cairo
on Tuesday that he would meet with U.S. Secretary of State
Hillary Clinton in two weeks' time.
"I have spoken on the telephone with the U.S. Secretary of
State, Mrs. Clinton. We agreed that in a couple of weeks we
would have a private meeting and, of course, discuss the Middle
East issue," Lavrov said.
Russia's Foreign Ministry said yesterday that the meeting
could be held on March 6.
