Two die in fire in south Russia

ROSTOV-ON-DON, January 21 (RIA Novosti) - Two people died in an apartment fire in Rostov-on-Don, the regional emergencies ministry said on Wednesday.

The fire started on Tuesday and "was put out within an hour. During a search of the debris two bodies - a man and woman - were discovered," the ministry statement said.

An investigation has been opened and fire investigators are currently trying to establish the cause of the fire.
