GROZNY, February 22 (RIA Novosti) - Two police
officers were killed and one wounded in an attack by an
unidentified assailant in the Republic of Chechnya in Russia's
volatile North Caucasus region, a local police source said on
The attack occurred on Saturday afternoon in a toy store
in the town of Urus-Martan, southwest of Chechnya's capital,
when the assailant opened fire with a pistol, firing six shots
at the police, the source said.
Police are searching for the attacker, the source said.
