MOSCOW, February 24 (RIA Novosti) - Five people were badly injured when a car ran into a bus stop in western Moscow on Tuesday morning, a police source said. A Chevrolet Lanos hit several people at a pedestrian crossing and then ran into the bus stop before driving off, the source said. A number of other people received minor injuries. "The majority of those injured are [nearby] Moscow State University students," the source said. "Five people were hospitalized, and others are receiving medical attention at the scene." He said one of those hospitalized was a 56-year-old woman, a U.S. national. Bystanders noted down the car's license plate number and a search for the vehicle and the driver is underway. More news |
