BRUSSELS, January 23 (RIA Novosti) - A man was
detained on Friday in connection with the deaths of two
children and an adult during a knife attack at a daycare center
in the northwest Belgian town of Dendermonde, police said.
The VTM television station earlier reported that five
people had been killed. However, the country's Interior
Ministry has said that three people lost their lives during the
incident.
According to regional media reports, the suspect attempted
to escape on a bicycle after the attack.
An investigation is underway.
