Gazprom board to get report on Ukraine gas contracts in September

MOSCOW, February 24 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprom's board of directors will in September resume considering how natural gas contracts with Ukraine are implemented, the Russian gas monopoly said on Tuesday.

The company's board on Tuesday received a report on payments by Ukrainian companies for Russian natural gas and Gazprom's strategy in relations with Ukraine's state energy company Naftogaz.

"The company's management committee has been ordered to provide for proper implementation of contracts for gas supplies to Ukraine and transit through Ukraine, and to give the board of directors a report on the progress of their work in September 2009," Gazprom said in a news release.
