MADRID, March 3 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's president
confirmed on Tuesday that letters had been exchanged with his
U.S. counterpart, but denied reports that Washington had
pledged to drop its European missile shield plans if Moscow
helped resolve a nuclear dispute with Iran.
"We are in correspondence, but no tradeoffs have been
discussed, I assure you," Dmitry Medvedev told a news
conference in Madrid.
