URGENT: International Criminal Court issues arrest warrant for Sudan's leader

THE HAGUE, March 4 (RIA Novosti) - The International Criminal Court on Wednesday issued an arrest warrant for Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir over alleged crimes against humanity.

The request for the arrest warrant was sent by Prosecutor General Luis Moreno-Ocampo on June 14, 2008. Al-Bashir is accused of committing alleged war crimes against civilians in Sudan's Darfur Province.
