Two children killed in apartment fire in Russia's Urals

YEKATERINBURG, January 26 (RIA Novosti) - Two young children died in an apartment fire in Russia's Kurgan District, in the Urals, over the weekend, the region's emergencies ministry said in a press statement on Monday.

"As a result of the fire two young boys - born in 2003 and 2006 - were killed," the statement said.

The fire was caused by failing to follow safety instructions when using a cooker, the emergencies ministry said.
