* Police have detained a Kyrgyz national on charges of murdering the 65-year-old owner of the apartment where he rented a room, a police source said

* A search is underway for ten masked and armed men who broke into a private house in a luxury residential complex near Moscow and took over seven million rubles ($200,000), a police source said

* A total of 2 kg (4.4 lbs) of heroin was seized in the Urals city of Nizhny Tagil, the press service of the local drug control service said

* Police have seized over 4 kg (8.8 lbs) of heroin in Russia's regions, including 1.1 kg (2.4 lbs) of heroin in the city of Kommunar in the Leningrad Region, 1 kg (2.2 lbs) of heroin in the city of Yekaterinburg in the Urals, and 1 kg in southern Russia's Makhachkala, the Russian Interior Ministry said

* Uzbek customs officers detained an Afghan national in possession of 20 kg (44 lbs) of raw opium

* Two Range Rover SUVs and a Mercedes SL55AMG worth over seven million rubles ($200,000) were stolen in Moscow, a police source said
