KABUL, March 10 (RIA Novosti) - Four civilians were
killed and six others injured in southern Afghanistan when
their vehicle was hit by a blast on Tuesday, a government
spokesman said.
The explosion occurred in the Nad Ali district in the
Helmand province, Daud Ahmadi said. The victims were rushed to
local hospitals by ISAF soldiers.
Also on Tuesday, police defused three explosive devices
planted along the Kandahar-Helmand highway, the spokesman said.
Afghanistan's Helmand province is subject to attacks by
Taliban militants in an attempt to destabilize the situation in
the south of the country.
