MOSCOW/YEKATERINBURG, March 22 (RIA Novosti) - Four
people died and eight others were injured in a stampede at a
discotheque in a small town in Russia's Urals, the country's
main investigative body said on Sunday.
The accident occurred late on Saturday when about 200
people had gathered for the discotheque in the Urals town of
Pervouralsk. The stampede began when the discotheque organizers
offered free entry during the first 30 minutes, investigators
said.
Three 16-year-old girls and a 30-year-old man died in the
crush, investigators said.
Prosecutors have launched a criminal investigation into
the accident.
