Sales of Russian-made Ford Mondeo cars to start on April 1

ST.PETERSBURG, March 24 (RIA Novosti) - U.S. carmaker Ford announced on Tuesday that sales of Ford Mondeo cars produced at a factory near Russia's second city of St. Petersburg will start on April 1.

The Ford plant in Vsevolozhsk opened in the summer of 2002 and began production of the Ford Mondeo this March. The company earlier announced a 5% increase in prices for its Russian-made cars from next month.
