Russia's anti-drugs service to cut budget $38 mln amid crisis

MOSCOW, March 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Federal Service for Control of Narcotic Drugs Circulation said on Thursday it would slash its 2009 budget by more than 1.3 billion rubles ($38 million) due to the economic crisis.

The federal targeted program for countering the trafficking of narcotic drugs will also be cut 30%, the service said.
