DUSHANBE, March 28 (RIA Novosti) - Tajik border
guards detained four men carrying 43 kg (94 lbs) of cannabis on
Saturday morning, a spokesman for the country's border service
told RIA Novosti.
"The drug haul was seized at the Ishkashimsky border post
(300 km east of Dushanbe), when four unknown people carrying
bags were discovered moving from Afghan territory," the
spokesman said.
All the detainees are Tajik nationals, two of them are
brothers.
An investigation is being carried out to identify the
owner of the drugs and their intended destination in Tajikistan.
