URGENT: Ukrainian gas transit system project to cost $5bn-$6bn

MOSCOW/KIEV, April 7 (RIA Novosti) - Expanding Ukraine's gas transit system by a further 60 billion cubic meters annually will cost $5 billion-$6 billion, a presidential representative for energy security issues said on Tuesday.

"This is a completely different project. The Ukrainian proposal is looking at the possibility of building a new route of 60 billion cubic meters. The cost is $5 billion - $6 billion," said Bohdan Sokolovskiy.
