Russia's GDP growth slowed to 2% in 4th quarter of 2008

MOSCOW, January 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's GDP growth fell to 2% in the last quarter of 2008, against 9.5% in the same period of 2007, Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabiullina said on Friday.

"The volume of industrial production in the fourth quarter last year dropped by 6.1%," the minister told a government meeting on the economic situation in Russia.
