Statistics service forecasts inflation at 0.7% in May 2009

MOSCOW, May 27 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's inflation will reach 0.7% in May 2009, down 50% year on year, the country's State Statistics Service predicted on Wednesday.

Inflation was 6.8% from January 1 through May 25, according to the service.

The government's official inflation target for the year is 13%.
