URGENT: Russia, U.S. arms reduction talks to be held again in late June

MOSCOW, June 3 (RIA Novosti) - The third round of full-format Russia-U.S. talks on a new strategic arms reduction pact to replace the START 1 treaty, which is set to expire on December 5, will take place in late June in Geneva, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

Signed in 1991, START 1 obliges Russia and the United States to reduce nuclear warheads to 6,000 and their delivery vehicles to 1,600 each.
