URGENT: Top court overturns not-guilty verdicts in Politkovskaya trial

MOSCOW, June 25 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Supreme Court has overturned not-guilty verdicts in the trial of the 2006 murder of investigative journalist Anna Politkovskaya.

A Moscow court acquitted in February two brothers from Chechnya and a former police office of involvement in the journalist's murder, one day after the jury unanimously concluded that prosecutors had failed to prove the defendants' guilt.

Prosecutors appealed against the ruling.
