Average Monthly Wage In Russia

The graph below shows the steady growth of average wages across Russia. While rising wages are generally good for workers, they have a darker side as well, driving inflation and pushing up the cost of doing business in Russia, resulting in businesses looking for ways to shrink their labor force. While the economic crisis did take a substantial toll on Russia's average wage, the numbers, according to the Russian Federal State Statistics Service, are growing substantially again. However, this does not account for unpaid wages, which have become a more pressing problem, nor does it account for employees currently on forced leave or reduced schedules.
